A simple pitch shifter that goes a long way.
The Pitchproof offers some basic functions for pitch shifting, from -12 to +12 in semitones and some harmonic key-bound options. It also offers a detune knob to get a more natural / less artificially perfect result.
Whilst not being something fancy it is easy to add subbass or a harmonic note to a signal, generate a bassline to a keybord and dry/wet mix this directly into the signal.
Soundshaping is also possible, for expample by shiftig a drum signal and adding it to the original. Crash cymbals can be transformed from a crash to a deeper sound or even splash like.
GUI: 9/10
To be easy and pretty but wasting so much space loses one point.
Function: 9/10
Works well, effect usable, but there is an undocumented mode option that changes something, I just don’t know what.
Efficiency: 5/10
Somewhere around 4% load max. (this time on i5 – 4460)
It is probably a good idea to render/freeze the wet signal and just dry/wet mix with an additional track – if you are working on a bigger project.
