SAFEequaliser – Semantic Audio

SAFEequaliser is a simple small EQ.

Official Page.

The SAFE plugins are part of a research project by the Digital Media Technology group at Birmingham City University and the Centre for Digital Music at Queen Mary University of London.

It’s goal is (more or less) to make great presets available to everyone.
The plugins they build are mostly basic ones, but work quite well.

GUI: 7/10

Simple, gets the job done, but somewhat ugly…

Function: 8/10

Works good, but is limited due to only 3 bands + low and high shelf…

Efficiency: 10/10

CPU Load around 0,2%

Personal opinion: 6/10

The idea is nice, but I cannot use it – my audio PC has no internet. The plugin does an acceptable job but comes nowhere near the ReaEQ…
